New Casting Crowns Video: Slow Fade

Casting Crowns has just released their newest music video for their hit song, Slow Fade:

This song has had special significance for us at Covenant Eyes. Slow Fade is about the little compromises we make that may end up turning into major problems. Affairs typically don’t happen in a moment: they are nurtured over weeks and months of little compromises. Pornography addictions don’t spring up overnight: they are nurtured by little moments online.

On their 80-concert tour they have been helping us spread the word about the dangers of Internet pornography. We’ve had a booth set up at every concert to talk to people about our accountability software.

One of our booth volunteers shared lead singer Mark Hall’s words about Slow Fade in a previous post. The song is based on Psalm 1:1, “How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers.” This verse shows the slow fade of a man on the wrong path: first he WALKS, then STANDS, and finally he SITS.
