Women struggle with porn too…

Last Updated: April 4, 2024

As the Founder of Dirty Girls Ministries and author of Dirty Girls Come Clean, I have been blessed to be interviewed by quite a few news media outlets. People are often fascinated that I, as a woman, would share so openly about having been addicted to pornography. But there was something very special about seeing an invitation from The 700 Club come across my email inbox.

You see, when I was a kid, my mom would watch The 700 Club all of the time. And like many Christians, this program has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Even in midst of the some of the darkest days of my pornography addiction, hope would spring out of my television set. So for God to give me the opportunity to share my story of His redemption in me on a platform such as this one, it was an honor.

I’m forever grateful that God, through surrender to Him and solid accountability to others, has pulled me from the miry clay so that I might share the hope I have in Him with people like you. Did I ever expect to be sharing my story so publicly? No. But God never, ever, ever wastes an experience. He will use what we have all been through to bring glory and honor to Himself. Even the messy parts–because those are often the parts where He shines through the most.

Stories of women addicted to pornography

I feel like I’m drowning. Wht wont God deliver me from this? It’s even lesbian erotica. Could it be because I was molested by male and female when I was a child?

Whether that’s a specific factor or not, it certainly doesn’t help. If you haven’t already, I highly recommend you seek counseling regarding the abuse you suffered in the past, and make sure your counselor doesn’t hand-wave your porn struggles.

Hello Crystal! I am so happy to find this. I want to create some kind of program or outreach in my church for women struggling with this issue. I have my church’s permission bur have no idea where to start. Can you help me with ideas?

    • Chris McKenna

Hi Stacie, I’m not sure Crystal will see this post, but you can contact her ministry here: http://dirtygirlsministries.com

      Peace, Chris
