Covenant Eyes Radio – Episode 84
Podcast: Download (Duration: 21:26 — 9.8MB)
Our special guest on today’s podcast is Shelley Lubben. Shelley is a former porn actress who now reaches out to women still in the adult industry through her organization, the Pink Cross Foundation.
In today’s portion of our interview Shelley speaks to about how she believes pornography is a form of sex slavery and how she is working to make pornography production illegal in the state of California.
Please note: The subject matter of today’s podcast is not suitable for some audiences due to graphic descriptions of sexuality and violence. Listener discretion is advised.
Co-hosting today’s interview is Jessica Jones, an intern for pureJUSTICE.

Thank you Shelly and Covenant Eyes. I have been repulsed by porn since I was about 20, I am now 42. I have always spoken out about it to friends, boyfriends, and my ex-husband (who is a porn addict). I am always the “bad guy”, “she’s just trying to control her boyfriend”. I can’t seem to get anyone to listen to what I have learned over the years about porn and the physiological response that occurs in a persons brain when they are repeatedly exposed to it, how it ruins relationships because the person that is viewing porn can never be satisfied because their mate cannot match up to the porn actresses, and how it destroys families. I see real hope with the Pink Cross Foundation.
Hi! I’ve really appreciated listening to these interviews with Shelley – they’ve REALLY ripped off the mask – the image of women as presented in the videos appearing to enjoy all of it – lies, lies, lies! Just one thing – the images you used of Shelley in parts 3 & 4 – not sure if they’re appropriate in this context… The image of Shelley posing by a pole (part 3), plus the image of her looking up into the camera (part 4) – these are sexy images similar to what the world uses to entice and lure and deceive. May be it’s just me! But again, thanks for these interviews – every blessing…
@David – I’ll let Shelley know, thanks. These were the promotional photos she used on her own site, but I can talk to her about finding different ones.
