I would give t
I would use it for my family and others in my local area.
We are part of a Christian community, with many families with young boys. Unfortunately, we live in an age where we can no longer afford to wait until the previously usual age (around 10-12) to equip our children about sexual matters. We need to reclaim sex for the Lord, and train our children in His purpose for sex, while at the same time giving them the weapons for this significant spiritual battle. We can no longer afford to think our children won’t be tempted by it and succumb to it. God is bigger! We would pass these out to several families, as well as in our small church.
I’m a theologian and local youth leader in church, and director of ESDEA publishing house from Croatia.I passed through hell of pornography and when I tried to find a help, there was none. In my country there is no even one Christian or secular center for pornography addiction. I am attending “The way of purity” which is on English, but here, there are many of young people in Balkan (six ex Yugoslavian countries) who don’t speak foreign language. Church, doesn’t speak about it because it is still taboo topic, while young people struggles a lot. I know few of my colleagues that struggles, but no one is there to give them support to quit porn. I want to establish one center for those who are enslaved by porn for whole Balkan. That includes six countries of ex Yugoslavia: Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Montenegro and Republic of Macedonia. Ten persons I will give the boundle:
1. President of Union of conferences of Seventh Day Adventist Conference (Adriatic Union) – Elder Zlatko Musija
2. President of South-East Adventist Union (Belgrade) – Elder Djordje Trajkovski
3. Adriatic Union Youth leader – mr. sc. Bobo Marceta
4. South-East Union Youth leader and Dean of Adventist Theological Seminary in Belgrade- mr. sc. Dragan Grujičić
5. President of Evangelical Pentechostal Church in Croatia – Elder Damir Špoljarić
6. President of Baptist Church in Croatia – Elder Toma Magda
7. M.A. student for Christian Counseling (my cousin) Damir Pil (we are planing that center together)
8. J.B. (18) one of my best friends, who is still struggling with porn.
9. President of ASI Croatia association (who is wired with the group of adventist laymen and businessmen)
10. One for me, to translate and publish it on Balkanian languages (Croatian, Serbian, Slovenian and Macedonian).
The goal is of dual nature: 1) Short-term vision: to help all who suffer to find freedom in Christ; 2) Long-term vision: to educate pastors and professors how they could educate church members, students (future leaders) and parents, how they could educate their children, how they could create new values in their society.
Thank you for your greatful support and service!
We, the Knights of Columbus here in our Iowa home town are starting a program on Pornography, and the damage it is doing to the minds of the viewers. The damage that is and has been done to Marriages, relationships, lives, the damage that it has done and is doing to the Spiritual lives. This also includes the spouses and families of those addicted to Porn. I started when I was 14 (Total Innocence) I beat it to a point, by the time I was 55 (I am now 82) but the damage to the brain, still lingers on, you can not let your guard down. Like PST it comes back to haunt you. Prayer, Adoration, Confession, and Spiritual Direction, all these help tremendously. Take it to Jesus, and his Holy Mother. It all works. This bundle would help our effort tremendously, especially in the Confessional. In Hope and in His Holy Name Thank You. Chas.
I am a deacon and the internet/media support person at our church in western Wyoming and as a church we have become increasingly involved in educating the 200 +plus members and others who visit us weekly about the inherent dangers involved when online rather it be church/home computers or smart phones.
We recently finished “Internet Safety 101” produced by Enough is Enough which was very well received by all.
We began searching for an organization and system that would first be effective and second, friendly and supportive of our personal beliefs and family orientation.
We are delighted with what we have found with Covenant Eyes and are in the process of approving the implementation of the system not only in our church but to find a way to sponsor as many limited income families as we can afford.
Rather we win any free Give-a-ways or not, we are excited and appreciative of what Covenant Eyes has made available to parents, families and organizations to help us protect our children and build accountability into our relationships.
Thank you.
I’m a Catholic priest, a convert to the faith with a wife and 3 children who are either teens are approaching the teen years. I grew up seeing this issue in my family, and then later in college. I’m also a military chaplain. These kits would go to my kids and to my Soldiers, because porn is an enormous issue in the military, especially during the deployments that we’ve been on to Iraq and Afghanistan. Unfortunately, many don’t even believe that it’s an issue for them. Once we start to show them the problems that porn causes, they struggle with getting hold of good resources to help them work through and recover.
As a deacon, we have seen the effects of pornography in our community as devastating at every level, in the home life and in high schools, and we have seen it even in “good kids” who were with us on pilgrimages and service retreats. We wish we’d had these resources with us then, but the need is only growing, at a disturbing rate. Since then, we have found out that all six of our sons have been exposed to pornography by “friends” at one point or another, and one of them even succumbed to an addiction for a short time. This is every parent’s nightmare, and we have seen the effects that it has on the brain of a good kid, quickly changing his whole outlook on life. Our spiritual director has convinced us that this is demonic, and can get a quick hold on a young person’s mind. As a deacon, I have numerous outlets to distribute this highly praised program. My ministry is to family life where my wife and I hold mentoring sessions for parents, we are Diocesan Couple to Couple Natural Family Planning teachers and promoters, we do marriage and baptismal preps, as well as serving on the RCIA and Confirmation Teams. We are in charge of the High School PSR program, and actively involved with the CYO at both the local and diocesan level. We have been disturbed by the growing pornographic attitude even within primetime television and PG13 movies, which opens a portal to further exploration through internet. Parents think it is “normal” and have been desensitized, and it is our goal to raise the clarion call of awareness and help couples restore purity within their homes. If parents are willing to allow impurity to enter their own lives, then how can they protect their children? We must reach our youth as well as newlyweds and parents, who are entered into Covenant Love, for themselves and their children’s future purity. Parents are poorly equipped, as we were, to handle this technological assault on the family. It is in humility and purity that the Blessed Virgin Mary was chosen before all time to become the Mother of Our Lord. Restoring a spirit of purity and humility, of accountability to each other and to God, is primary to increasing holy vocations to marriage, chaste singles, priesthood and the consecrated life. Do many understand the spirit of True Covenant Love, in Purity of Heart and Mind, Body and Soul, the Sacramental aspect of our Sexuality (ToB)? A lack of understanding these issues is the REAL vocations crisis – across the board! Thank you for this invaluable tool to reach into the heart of this problem. Your program is the first step in addressing people where they are at, and goes hand in hand with ToB resources … this WILL change the world!
We have begun the Southeast Texas Dream Center and need to educate and protect computer users and houseparents of resident facilities. We will have computers for them to use for online classes, job searches, etc. Many come with porn problems/addictions. We need all the help we can get to protect them and also keep them accountable. Thanks.
Such an important ministry in our society!
I am currently teaching a 12 week class I am calling “AXIS: the turning point.” It I a class to educate men on how to help our brothers who are stuck in pornography. Last Sunday we talked about how porn effects the brain like drugs, This Sunday I am talking about how pornography effects our relationships and I am pulling a lot from “your brain on porn.” Eventually we will get to the main points, AXIS, which are A: Accountability – community in the body of Christ, X: “X it off” – removing our source of temptation, I: “Incinerate our mental trash” – renewing our mind through Christ, S: Seeking The Lord continuously.
The class is all my own curriculum, aside from the sources I pull from like your resource I mentioned. There are 10 guys/fathers/sons in the class besides myself and my co-teacher and this would be a fantastic parting resource to give each of them at the end of the 12 weeks. I will be teaching this class again ( this one is my first go around) next winter and I would love the resources for myself to better my class. :-)
