[display_podcast]

Today our special guest is Shelley Lubben. Shelley is a former porn actress who now reaches out to women still in the adult industry through her organization, the Pink Cross Foundation.

On today’s episode, Shelley talks about her experiences as a porn star, how she got involved in pornography, the abuses she suffered, and how women and men are abused in the same ways in today’s porn industry.

Please note: The subject matter of today’s podcast is not suitable for some audiences due to graphic descriptions of sexuality and violence. Listener discretion is advised.

Co-hosting today’s interview is Jessica Jones, an intern for pureJUSTICE.

  1. Thank you for your transparency Shelley. I praise the Lord that you were rescued from the filth that is porn, and am sure your ministry is slowly but surely transforming the lives of our nation’s young women week after week.

Your comments serve as another great proof that immorality is one of, if not the most unloving lifestyle to fall into. It’s truly frightening how skilled the media is at portraying this perversion of sex as harmless and just another form of entertainment. The enemy is at the forefront of it all, and unfortunately all too clever in deceiving society that there’s nothing wrong with this garbage.

Well if the media’s claims were even remotely accurate, I would ask: Why all the disease? What about the disturbing divorce rate increase? What about the ongoing blur between God’s intended gender roles? And the list can go on…

There may be pleasure in porn, but it’s not the pleasure that God designed intimacy for. It’s idolatry, and all too dangerous.

I look forward to the next three segments.
