“Not even a Hint” (Part 1)
“But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people”
(Ephesians 5:3, NIV).
What does it mean that we have “not even a hint” of sexual impurity among us? How do we live this way in a highly sensualized culture? How do we win the battle for sexual holiness?
This month our theme on Breaking Free will be “Not Even A Hint.” Each Monday we’ll be highlighting a sermon by a well-known and gifted Bible teacher centering on this text in Ephesians 5.
This Week: Ricky Jones, “Not even a Hint”
This message was preached on November 4, 2004, and was a part of the “Dating, Sex, and Marriage” series at Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In this message Jones challenges us to understand the real purpose and pleasure of sexuality in marriage, calling us away from our fantasies and lusts. He calls us to never pursue the glory of sex without first engaging in the work of a faithful relationship.
