"Not even a Hint" (Part 4)

“But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people.”
(Ephesians 5:3, NIV)

What does it mean that we have “not even a hint” of sexual impurity among us? How do we live this way in a highly sensualized culture? How do we win the battle for sexual holiness?

This month our theme on Breaking Free will be “Not Even A Hint.” Each Monday we’ll be highlighting a sermon by a well-known and gifted Bible teacher centering on this text in Ephesians 5.

This Week: John Stott, “Be what You are”

This message was preached on March 2, 1975, as a part of a series on Ephesians at All Souls Church in London. In this message Stott helps us understand how a life of great purity and spiritual fervor is done before a watching world.

John Stott is an Anglican church leader with a worldwide influence. He was ordained in 1945 and became the curate of All Souls Church, Langham Place, and later the rector (1950-1975), and is still today the “Rector Emeritus.” When Billy Graham called the original Lausanne conference, John Stott chaired the committee to draft the Lausanne Covenant in 1974. Stott is the founder of Langham Partnership International (also known as John Stott Ministries in the US), a ministry dedicated to raising the standards of biblical preaching and helping the worldwide church to grow in spiritual maturity. Stott has written numerous books on Christian life and theology and is currently retired from public ministry.

Anyone else having a problem with the audio not coming through when trying to play the message? I’m on a mac.

The link is for an mp3 so I believe the problem would be with your browser, not with the file. Not sure what the problem would be.
