This infographic with pornography statistics has been floating around the Web. We thought it presented some very valuable information.
Shocking, huh? But this only scratches the surface. For a more comprehensive list, download our packet of pornography statistics (pdf, 205kb).

Which of these stats caught your attention the most?
That statistic about 116,000 searches for child pornography brought tears to my eyes.
“Jesus I plead your blood over my eyes and the eyes of this nation. God, end pornography and send revival to America.”
It’s all incredibly shocking — more than likely because nobody ever reports any of this stuff.
As a mother of two (soon to be three) children, my heart sank when I read how many daily searches there are for child pornography. I wonder how many more searches there are for teen pornography. It terrifies me.
Could there truly be anything more grieving to the Holy Spirit than this? It would be interesting to know what % of each statistic would be from “professing” Christians. If God’s Word does not grip someone to wake up and smell the coffee regarding the severity of this epidemic in our society and churches, perhaps the enormity of these numbers and percentages might. May we all be reminded of the promise Jesus made to Simon Peter (and makes to all who have accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior), “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan demanded to have you, that he might sift you like wheat, but I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned again, strengthen your brothers” (Luke 22:31-32).
Luke,
the stat which shocked me the most was the dollars per second spent on porn. i had been under the impression the amount was significantly less than the $3,075.64 mentioned here.
thanks for posting.
sorry, but could someone tell me where to find this “statistics packet” download? it looks like there was supposed to be a pasted hyperlink that does not work. thanks!
