What does “analyzing” mean?

“Analyzing” appears on the Covenant Eyes app/software menu when no screenshots have been captured on the device in the past hour. Here are the situations that may cause you to see “Analyzing” –

Device Was Asleep

The Covenant Eyes app/software menu displays the number of screenshots taken the previous hour.  So if your device’s screen is off for more than an hour and you open our menu, you’ll see “Analyzing.” Once you use your device and begin browsing again, re-open the Covenant Eyes menu, and instead of “analyzing” you’ll see the number of screenshots taken the previous hour.

Enable Screen Recording on Mac®

When you install Covenant Eyes on Mac®, we prompt you to enable Screen Recording in “System Preferences” so we can take screenshots of your screen. But if the Covenant Eyes menu says “analyzing” and/or there are no screenshots from your Mac® on your report, check that Screen Recording is enabled.

Enable Screen Casting on Android™

When you install Covenant Eyes on Android™, we prompt you to enable Screen Casting in “Settings” so we can take screenshots of your screen. But if the Covenant Eyes menu says “analyzing” and/or there are no screenshots from your Android™ on your report, uninstall the Covenant Eyes app and reinstall it.

Install a Special Update on Windows 7 or 8

This final scenario only applies to Windows 7 and 8. If the Covenant Eyes software menu is stuck “analyzing,” your computer may require a special update to support our ability to take screenshots. Please reach out to Member Care via chat, email, or phone so we can help you access/perform this update.
