I can’t sign into Covenant Eyes at a coffee shop, hotel, or airport.

A public wireless network (like a coffee shop, hotel, or airport) is a bit different than your internet connection at home or work. To ensure security, most public WiFi  spots require you to agree to their terms and conditions. If you don’t see their terms and conditions page, you probably won’t be able to get online through their WiFi.

For thorough accountability the Covenant Eyes software keeps you signed in, regardless of where you are. Sometimes this arrangement makes connecting at a new hotspot a little bit challenging. If you don’t see the WiFi’s terms and conditions page, here are a few steps you can take:

  • Refresh Covenant Eyes and try accessing the internet again.
  • When opening a browser, go to a page you never go to, like blue.com. This can help bring up the terms and conditions page.
  • If you can use your mobile phone as a hotspot, try connecting to the internet with it. Once connected, try switching over to the new hotspot.
  • If you are using Covenant Eyes for Mac, you have one more step to try. In some cases this will bring up the terms and conditions page: turn off the automatic sign in option for Covenant Eyes, and try to get online.
