iOS 14 Default Browser

As you probably know, the latest version of the iPhone® operating system (iOS) was recently released. iOS 14 has some cool new features like App Clips and Car Keys.

The one that might be most interesting to members of Covenant Eyes is the new default browser setting. Up until now, Safari was the default browser for every app on the iPhone. But now, in Settings, you can “set a default web browser and email app that launch when you tap a link or want to compose a new mail message.”

With version 5.4.1 released, you can now set Covenant Eyes as your default browser. Here’s how:

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Scroll down and select the Covenant Eyes app.
  3. Tap the “Default Browser App” option.
  4. Select “Covenant Eyes” to make it your default browser on this iPhone®.
  5. You’re done. You can exit the Settings app or go back one screen to confirm your selection.
