Here are three steps to find the Covenant Eyes app on your iPhone®/iPad® and bring it back to your home screen:
- Check Your Home Screen and App Folders
- Verify Covenant Eyes is Installed
- See if Covenant Eyes is Disabled
Check Your Home Screen and App Folders
- On your home screen, swipe through your pages of apps and look for Covenant Eyes.
- Look in each folder (a group of apps) to ensure Covenant Eyes hasn’t been overlooked or tucked away in an odd spot.
- If you can’t find the Covenant Eyes app on your home screen, search for “Covenant Eyes” in your App Library.
Verify Covenant Eyes is Installed
Note for Members with China-based Apple IDs: VPN apps are illegal in China, so Apple removed apps with a VPN, like Covenant Eyes, from the Chinese App Store. So if your Apple ID is China-based, you won’t be able to find or download the Covenant Eyes app via the App Store®.
- On your iPhone® or iPad®, open the App Store®.
- In the bottom right-hand corner of the App Store®, tap the magnifying glass that says “Search” and then type Covenant Eyes into the search bar at the top of the screen.
- Next to Covenant Eyes: Quit Porn Now, you will see one of the following:
– “GET” means Covenant Eyes is not on your device. Tap “GET” to download and install Covenant Eyes!
– “OPEN” means Covenant Eyes is on your device. Tap “OPEN” to launch the Covenant Eyes app!
– A cloud icon with a downward-pointing arrow means you installed Covenant Eyes on this device before, but it’s not on your device right now. Tap the cloud icon to download and install Covenant Eyes! - If you see this message after you tap “OPEN,” – Restrictions Enabled. Certain apps, features, or services can’t be seen or used when Restrictions are on. To use this app, turn Restrictions off – read on to the next section of this article to enable Covenant Eyes!
See if Covenant Eyes is Disabled
Apple’s parental controls, Screen Time, for iPhone® and iPad® allow you to limit apps. A specific setting in Screen Time, called Content Restrictions, lets you set an app age limit for the App Store®. Apps rated above the age range you select cannot be installed, opened, or used.
Apple rates the Covenant Eyes app for iPhone® at age 17. Set Content Restrictions for Apps to 17+ and then Covenant Eyes will open and run on your device:
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone®/iPad®.
- Tap “Screen Time.”
- Tap “Content & Privacy Restrictions” and tap “Content Restrictions.”
- Scroll down and tap “Apps.”
- Apple rates the Covenant Eyes app at age 17. So you must tap “17+” for Covenant Eyes to run on your iPhone® or iPad®.
- Return to your home screen, and you should see the Covenant Eyes app icon back on your device.
