There are several roles that someone can have on a Covenant Eyes account. All roles have different functions for the account and the username(s). One single person can hold all roles, or they can be divided between multiple members.
This individual is in charge of the account and usually gets selected during sign-up. The Administrator can:
- Add/remove Filtering
- Add/remove members
- Assign/remove allies
- Assign/remove Filter guardians
- Cancel the account
- Generate uninstall codes
- Update billing information
Because the Administrator has so much power, in some cases the person in recovery needs someone else to control the account. That’s ok and we can help. Consult How do I change who has control of my account? for details.
An ally is a person who receives the reports. An ally does not have to subscribe to Covenant Eyes or install anything, he/she just needs to create a username. This role is selected by the member or the Account Administrator. Allies can:
