I don’t want control of my account. How do I change my Account Admin?

The Account Admin (Admin) is in charge of the entire account, everyone on the account, and all account/member settings.

Select an option below to learn how to add an Admin, remove an Admin, or how to restrict a member from uninstalling Covenant Eyes:

  • Make a Current Member on My Account an Admin
  • Invite a New Member to My Account to be an Admin
  • Remove an Admin from My Account
  • Restrict a Member from Uninstalling Covenant Eyes

Make a Current Member on My Account an Admin

Note: For the following steps to work, the new Admin must have an existing username/profile on your account. If he/she is a Covenant Eyes member, ally, or Filter Guardian on another account, follow the “Invite a New Member to My Account to be an Admin” steps.

  1. Sign-in to my.covenanteyes.com to access your account and select the person’s name from under the Relationships section that you want to be the new Admin.
  2. Scroll down on the member’s information page, and select “Settings.”
  3. Scroll down on the Settings page, and select the box next to “Manage my account.” Select the bubble next to “With me” if you want the person to be an additional Admin on your account. If you want to transfer Admin permissions from yourself to this person, select the bubble next to “For me.”
  4. You’ll receive a prompt on the screen requesting that you confirm sending an invite to the new Admin. Select “Confirm.”
  5. Two confirmation messages will populate at the bottom of the screen stating that the member is now an Admin and that settings were saved successfully.

Restrict a Member from Uninstalling Covenant Eyes

In some situations, Admins want to restrict a member from being able to uninstall Covenant Eyes. If you’d like to remove a member’s ability to generate uninstall codes and uninstall Covenant Eyes, read How do I prevent someone from uninstalling Covenant Eyes?
