The Account Administrator (Admin) has ultimate control of an account. They can change settings and close the account. But, in some cases, members want as little control over the account as possible.
If you are the Admin of the account and decide that someone else should be the Admin, we need two things to make that happen:
- Your permission. Only the Admin can close the account, or give the Admin role to someone else. If you are ok with that reality, you need to contact Customer Service and say something like, “I give permission for so-and-so to become Admin of my account.” You can do that via chat or over the phone (989.720.8000).
- Permission from the new Admin. We won’t force someone to become the Admin, but we will gladly help a willing person discuss the idea and step into that role. After you give us your permission, you can encourage the new Admin to call us at 989.720.8000.
*In some cases, a former Admin will desire an additional safeguard. At that point, he/she should consider becoming a Restricted Member. A Restricted Member is not allowed to generate or receive an uninstall code without permission from the Admin. For some people this additional measure is helpful and necessary for a period of time, while others find it to be a major inconvenience. Work together to discuss what’s best for your situation.
