Sophos and Covenant Eyes

This page explains the process for configuring the 2021 version of Sophos. For assistance, please reach out via chat, email, or phone.


To Install Covenant Eyes

  1. Open Sophos and select “Dashboard” from the menu on the left-hand side.
  2. Sophos will re-direct you to my.sophos.com in a browser. Enter in your Sophos credentials and select the “Sign-In” button.
  3. On the Sophos Home page, select “Configure” under Antivirus Protection.
  4. On the Antivirus Protection page, turn “Real-Time Protection” off by sliding the toggle switch to the left.
  5. The “Real-Time Protection” toggle switch will turn grey and Sophos will display a message stating that some features have been disabled. You can now install Covenant Eyes!

Excluding Covenant Eyes from being Scanned

  1. Open Sophos and select “Dashboard” from the menu on the left-hand side.
  2. Sophos will re-direct you to my.sophos.com in a browser. Enter in your Sophos credentials and select the “Sign-In” button.
  3. On the Sophos Home page, select “Configure” under Antivirus Protection.
  4. On the Antivirus Protection page, scroll down to “Exceptions.”
  5. In the Exceptions field, type in C:\Program Files\CE\ and then select the “Add” button.
  6. You should now see C:\Program Files\CE listed in Exceptions.

Making an Exclusion for Covenant Eyes’ Websites

  1. Open Sophos and select “Dashboard” from the menu on the left-hand side.
  2. Sophos will re-direct you to my.sophos.com in a browser. Enter in your Sophos credentials and select the “Sign-In” button.
  3. From the Sophos Home page, select “Configure” under Web Protection.
  4. On the Web Protection page, scroll down to “Website Exceptions.”
  5. In the Website Exceptions field, type in covenanteyes.com and then select the “Add” button.
  6. Then type in cvnt.net into the Website Exceptions field and then select the “Add” button.
  7. You should now see both covenanteyes.com and cvnt.net listed in Website Exceptions.
