I can’t sign into Covenant Eyes at a coffee shop, hotel, or airport.

An Internet connection at a public location like a coffee shop, hotel or airport is a bit different than your Internet connection at home or work. When you’re connected to a private network connection you are always connected to the Wifi on your devices. At a public Wifi, to ensure security, there is an authentication procedure that prohibits the Wifi from connecting fully until you agree to their terms and conditions or type in a temporary password.

Our latest versions of Covenant Eyes allow you to sign into the software regardless of a full connection, and then allow you to load the authentication page. On the off chance that you are unable to sign in to Covenant Eyes and receive an error message, here are a few steps you can take:

Windows

  1. Once you’ve verified that your computer is connected to the hotspot network, restart Covenant Eyes by going into File Explorer/Computer or This PC/ Program Files/CE/Restart CE
  2. As soon as Covenant Eyes restarts, attempt to sign in.
  3. If you don’t receive an error message from Covenant Eyes, open up your Internet browser (Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer etc.). An authentication page should load. Once you’ve followed the instructions on the authentication page you should be able to browse.

Mac

  1. Restart the computer.
  2. Once the computer boots back up and you’ve verified that your computer is connected to the hotspot network, attempt signing in to Covenant Eyes.
  3. If you don’t receive an error message from Covenant Eyes, open up your Internet browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari etc.). An authentication page should load. Once you’ve followed the instructions on the authentication page you should be able to browse.

If you’re unable to connect after walking through these steps please call our Customer Service at 877.479.1119.
