Can I upgrade to Windows 10 with Covenant Eyes installed?

If you choose to upgrade your computer to the Windows 10 operating system, you may need to uninstall Covenant Eyes first.

  • If you currently use Windows 7, you will need to uninstall Covenant Eyes before updating to Windows 10.
  • If you use Windows 8, you’re fine! There’s no need to uninstall Covenant Eyes before updating to Windows 10.

Here’s what we know about your current device:

Make sure to check back on any other Windows computers you use.

Here’s what we know about your current device:

You’re good to go! You can safely upgrade to Windows 10 on this computer without uninstalling Covenant Eyes. Make sure to check back on any other Windows computers you use.

Important note about the Microsoft Edge browser:

In Windows 10, Microsoft added a new Microsoft Edge browser. Covenant Eyes will still monitor any Internet activity generated through the Edge browser, but we do not currently have a browser extension for it. That means we can’t tell whether a URL was specifically visited, or if it was simply a code component or a page element (like an ad). All URLs visited through the Edge browser will show up as “Web Content”, and you may have a bit of extra information on your Accountability Report for a while. (Learn more about visited, supporting, and unconfirmed URLs.)

Until we have a browser extension available for the Edge browser, we recommend you use Internet Explorer, Chrome, or Firefox to browse the Internet.
