I just wanted to take a quick moment to let you know how Covenant Eyes has not only saved my marriage but restored me as a man. I had been involved in porn for several years and after I got a laptop for my business it was like something opened me into checking out Internet sites. I won’t go into detail but suffice it to say that I had become a person that was controlled by Internet porn. I am a Christian and had been convicted by the Lord to stop several times and was even ashamed sometimes at church to be in church and know that I was a porn addict. This THING had become a serious problem, mood swings, anger, loss of respect, and so on. What was worst is that it had taken time away from my family and my children and had changed who I was. I would get so upset and beg the Lord to help me and be OK for a day or so and then it seemed that each time I got a little deeper and deeper.
One evening, my wife stumbled onto my little secret and after meeting with a counselor confronted me with a list of non negotiables, among them was to install Covenant Eyes on my computer. Her counselor had referred her to your website. My wife and my Pastor were my first two accountability partners. Because of Covenant Eyes, my accountability partners, and counseling, I have for the first time in my adult life some control over my problem. It has been four years this past June and I look forward to seeing that blue CE logo come up every time I get online. I know as long as I have Covenant Eyes on my computer I am being watched and I am held accountable. That is true peace of mind.
Words cannot express to you the gratitude that I feel to your company. I was able to gain control on a problem that was going to cost me everything. I just wanted to thank you for your service. I have a newfound trust in my husband because he installed Covenant Eyes on our PC. The mere fact that he would take initiative to protect our marriage against pornography shows what a man of integrity he is. I always had a sickening feeling when I left home and he would be online. I did not want to be the one he was accountable to because it hurt me, but telling someone else each time it happened was mortifying to him. This has made a way for us, I feel confident that he is accountable to someone other than myself and that he can't find a way around it. Covenant Eye's has changed my life. I have a PC and I couldn't control the overwhelming desire to type in the 'p' word. Now that my minister is looking over my shoulder I have no desire. Thanks again for your interest in our ministry and for what you do. I did have an interesting observation that I will pass on to the guys in our groups. Most of the guys in the group are doing well in their recovery, however many of the guys who aren’t using Covenant Eyes are not. Some of them are using inferior but free accountability software and some are using other systems. I think the commitment of paying for Covenant Eyes each month combined with the accountability are significant motivations for guys to do the work of recovery.
