Try the Covenant Eyes Filter! Covenant Eyes has developed an Internet Filter for Windows. Unlike our Accountability software, the Filter can be used to actually block access to varying levels of objectionable or mature material on the Internet. The Filter works well alone or in conjunction with the Accountability software.
The cost to current Covenant Eyes users of adding the Filter to their Accountability program is an additional $1.50 per month per Covenant Eyes username. For new Covenant Eyes customers, the cost for both the Filter software and the Accountability software is the same as for existing customers adding the Filter to their current account. The cost of only the Filter (without the Accountability software) is $4.99 per month for the first username, with discounts for additional usernames. Features of the Covenant Eyes Filter include:
- The Filter Guardian (i.e., parent, Accountability Partner, etc.) selects the usernames and options for the Filter users (Covenant Eyes calls Filter users Covenant Eyes Members).
Age-based sensitivity levels, meaning the Filter (and the level of what is considered acceptable or blocked) can be adjustd by the Filter Guardian for each username.
Personalized blacklists (list of specific sites that will be blocked) or whitelists (lists of specific sites that will not be blocked) can be developed by the Filter Guardian for each username.
Uses the exclusive Covenant Eyes dynamic scoring system (developed for our Accountability software) to evalute sites.
Scoring analysis includes personal sites, search strings, newsgroups, filesharing, and other protocols.
Allows time controls -- times of day can be blocked, or total Internet access time per day/week can be preset by the Filter Guardian for each username.
Allows specific blocking of protocols -- for instance, most Instant Messaging can be blocked.
Easy override of blocked sites by the Filter Guardian if the blocked site needs to be viewed.
All sites are still recorded on the Detailed Browser Log for Accountability users.
