I Know I’ll be tempted…

I'm not addicted to pornography, but every once in a while...

 Men Women

I don't think I've ever really been addicted to anything.  But my job gives me a lot of alone time with my computer, and you might say I'm addicted to my work.  But I love my family, and have lots of time with them.  We really are a picture of the American dream.  We go to church every Sunday, and the kids are in the youth group.

I stumbled into pornography one time as I was doing an Internet search.  I was looking for a picture of a medical syringe, so using my favorite search engine, I began searching for medical terms.  Wow!  Some of the pictures that came up were hard-core pornography!  I'm telling you, I'm not addicted, but I couldn't help but click on some of those pictures, just out of curiosity.  I was surprised, because I have a filter, and the pictures came through anyway.  One thing led to another, and I'd find that an hour had passed away, looking at pornography, of all things!  It was obviously a waste of time.

But I have to admit, I enjoyed looking.  Every once in a while, I still go to search images and check out what's there.  Nobody knows, because I have a filter, and even my history only shows browser searches.  So I never get caught.

However, the temptation was so obvious, so strong, that I realized I needed to do something to take away the temptation.  I knew I couldn't do it alone, so I really wanted some help, but didn't know where to turn.Sign Up Now for Covenant Eyes

I searched the net, and found Covenant Eyes.  They have a filter, but the main thing that they provide  is complete accountability.  So I signed up.  After I signed up, I tested it by going to one of the more "innocent" browser searches (though I knew it wasn't completely innocent).  Sure enough, that site got red-flagged, and I haven't been tempted since!

Thanks to Covenant Eyes for providing such a sure-fire tool to block the temptation.  I never was addicted to pornography, but I might have been...  and now, because of Covenant Eyes, I never will be addicted.
