How to Uninstall Covenant Eyes from a PC

NOTE: Uninstalling the Covenant Eyes software will NOT cancel your account. Please contact us to stop the billing process.

You may want to print out these directions.

  1. On the day you plan to uninstall Covenant Eyes, go to www.CovenantEyes.com, click on "Member Center," type in your "Username" and "Password," and click the "Login Button."

  1. Once in the "Member Center," click on "Get Uninstall Code" in the "Username Settings" area of the screen.

  1. Please notice that there is a note on this next "Member Center" screen that reads like this: "Please note that the Covenant Eyes Software requires an uninstall password to remove it from your system. This password can be generated by pressing the 'Generate Password' button below. When you choose to press this button, your accountability partner(s) will be notified that you have chosen to uninstall Covenant Eyes." Click once on "Generate Password" after you read the note.

  1. Please read the note that says, "Please note that uninstalling the software will NOT cancel your account. If you would like to cancel your account, you will need to contact us by emailing account deactivation." Copy the code that appears in the next window on paper or to a text document for future reference.

  1. Click once on the "Start" button.

  1. In the "Start" menu, please click once on "Control Panel."

  1. In the "Control Panel," click once on "Add or Remove Programs."

  1. In the "Add or Remove Programs" window, click once on "Covenant Eyes."

  1. Just below "Covenant Eyes" to the Right should be a button that says "Change/Remove." Click once on "Change/Remove."

  1. The next window will ask you to verify, "Are you sure you want to continue?" Go ahead and click once on "OK."

  1. The "InstallShield Wizard" window should appear. In the window it should say "Uninstallation Code." "Please enter your Covenant Eyes uninstallation code" that you received from the website or technical support.

  1. Click once on "Next" after you have typed in the Uninstallation Code.

  1. A number of "Shared File Detected" windows will appear. Click once on "Yes" on all of them.

  1. The final window says, "Information: Your system will now be rebooted. Please save any work from other applications, then press OK." Please make sure you save any work on other programs and close those programs, then click once on "OK."

  1. After your computer is rebooted, try to get on the Internet. If the Covenant Eyes sign-in window appears, please type in your username and password; then click once on "OK."
