How can I tell pop-ups, banner ads, or email URLs from intentional visits?

There are some indicators that can be used in determining if a website is a pop-up or banner ad:

• The URL address will have words such as ad, banner, popup, click here, etc.
  
  
• The number of hits: Usually a banner ad or pop-up will be one or two hits. They may be at different times of the day with other sites mentioned between them.

If the website is an email site, look to see if the word "mail" appears in the address.
