Section G: How to Use the "Manage Usernames"
This section is meant to help you understand the account administrator feature of "Manage Usernames" and the ways you can use the information in the "Partners," "Last Login," and "CE Version" columns.
Partner(s): this column is meant to show you who the user has as a partner. The user may already have requested a partner, but the person requested might not have checked their email or the request email may have been put into the spam folder by the spam blocker. Here are a few ideas to help you administrate the partner set up process for your account users:
- Remind the user on your account to contact their potential partner, letting them know they are going to need to check their email and sign up to be a partner if they desire to keep the user accountable by receiving the reports. The user will also want to notify the potential partner to check their spam folder for the partner request email from Covenant Eyes.
- Even though, you, the administrator, do not receive the reports, you can still view them. To view them check Section E: View an Individual's Accountability Logs or Section D: View a User's Detailed Browsing Logs.
Last Login: this column helps you to know if a user has logged in recently. It tells you the date and time. Here are a few applications for utilizing this feature:
- The user may not have been on the Internet since the last login date or is using a computer that is unmonitored by Covenant Eyes.
- If you see that the "Last Login" date and time was a number of days ago, this could mean...
-the user may have uninstalled Covenant Eyes (the administrator does not receive email notifications of when account users have generated the uninstall code for Covenant Eyes, just their designated partners do) or
-he never logged out of Covenant Eyes or turned off his computer since the last time and date
- "No Login Dates" and "Unknown" (in the "CE Version" column) means the user has not installed Covenant Eyes and has not logged in with their user name from this account. (They may have signed up previously and might still be using their old account.)
- If you encounter a different scenario, please contact us. The information you provide only helps make the program more useful to you and others in the future. Thank you for your help.
CE Version: this column tells you the version of Covenant Eyes the person is using. The information in this column can be understood in a few ways:
- If you see "Unknown," that means the person might not have logged into Covenant Eyes at all and they could potentially be unmonitored.
- Helps you know who to notify if they are on an older version of Covenant Eyes. Generally speaking, with each change made to Covenant Eyes, the higher the version number, the more stable and more features Covenant Eyes supports. Reminder: All Covenant Eyes upgrades are FREE and all Technical Support is FREE: 1-877-479-1119. The Technical Support staff is available if a user needs help with uninstalling an older version of Covenant Eyes to put a newer version on.
