$1000 Prize in Video Contest
Covenant Eyes will award $1000 to the best video entered in the July 27th Marmot Day Video Contest. Covenant Eyes’ office in Owosso, Michigan, is excited to host the annual Marmot Day celebration. This celebration is dedicated to marmots, which include woodchucks, ground squirrels, hedgehogs, etc. Watch our blog for more updates. All are invited to attend the festivities, which begin at 11 AM on July 27th. Lunch will be provided.
Marmot day is normally celebrated on July 25, but when it falls on a weekend, it is moved to the following Monday. One of the highlights of the festivities is at 12:45, the Marmot Deliberation, when a marmot, positioned outside a marmot hole, deliberates whether or not to go into the hole. If he does, tradition is that summer is over; if he does not, there will be 6 more weeks of summer.
Videos submitted must comply with the following rules:
1. The video must be no more than 120 seconds long.
2. The video must have some connection with Marmots.
3. The video must have some connection with Covenant Eyes and/or Internet Integrity.
4. Anyone may enter, and there is no limit to the number of videos entered.
5. Videos submitted become the property of Covenant Eyes.
Finalists will be viewed by the crowd on Marmot Day, and the winning video will be selected by voice vote of the crowd (written ballots may be used if there is doubt of the vote).
The most popular video will receive $1000, and will be shown on the Covenant Eyes website.
