Power System Backup Test - Friday June 6th 4AM - 7AM EST
I am happy to announce a power system backup test this Friday! We will be doing some testing of our generator and backup at 4AM EST. Everything should be wrapped up by 7AM EST.
Our Vice President of Technology, Scott Hammersley, had this to say about the test.
At our global headquarters we have generator and power supply backups that are designed to power our servers indefinitely in the event of a power outage. In order to provide high availability for our services, we test this system every 6 months, to make sure that it is working and the generator fail-over functions without service interruption. The test will be run at 4 AM (EST) on Friday morning. This minimizes the impact on our users, in the event that we do have any unforeseen problems.
This should not affect your regularly scheduled Covenant Eyes filter or accountability services. If it does, simply wait a few minutes and try again.
