Thanks to the Casting Crowns Volunteers!

On their 80-concert tour Casting Crowns has been helping us spread the word about the dangers of Internet pornography. We’ve had a booth set up at every concert to talk to people about our accountability software.

I was reading a blog yesterday and found the following testimony from the Swenson family:

We have been using Christian Internet accountability software called “Covenant Eyes.” They called us out of blue and offered us the opportunity to serve them at the Casting Crowns concert. CE has been invited by Casting Crowns to present their ministry during intermission of their concert. They were looking for someone who could be at their table here in MN. . . .

We were given 4 free tickets as well as meet & greet passes. We were escorted back stage and actually met the whole band. I had never had such an experience in my life, and neither had our boys. We were very excited. . . .

We only had our prayer cards to ask for Mark’s autograph. Greg explained to him we were missionary appointees to Japan, and then Mark asked for another prayer card for him to keep! We didn’t expect him to support us, but what an encouragement that was. He took a moment to show his interest in someone’s ministry even though he is an extremely busy person.

We received a thank you email from the Swensons a while back, thanking Covenant Eyes for the tickets. We’ve gotten so many good responses about these concerts.

One of our booth volunteers recently emailed me: “What a great concert! . . . They obviously don’t see themselves as being ‘in a band,’ but rather as being in ministry.”

Pastor Mark Lofquist of Toddville, Iowa, wrote, “We particularly had a great experience explaining Covenant Eyes to passersby during the intermission and before the music began. It was great to see the look of recognition in people’s eyes when they realized what a powerful tool we were showing them in the fight against pornography addiction.
