Covenant Eyes for Windows 4.2.7 released!

Well, the crazy men in their lab coats in the back room of our offices have done it again. After much smoke, explosions, and general riffraff from the back room, Covenant Eyes 4.2.7 was released, fully forged, onto the denizens of earth.

Sorry, I happen to love Tolkien…

Here are some of the updates to 4.2.7!

  • Added proxy support for the filter! Now people with proxies can use the filter without a problem!
  • Fixed Vista Auto-update issues. Now you can properly update Covenant Eyes in Vista.
  • Fixed an issue with Connecting to Covenant Eyes using Secure Socket Layers (SSL).
  • When a website is blocked, restricted users will now get redirected to “this page has been blocked by Covenant Eyes” instead of the “Override URL” webpage.
  • Removed “Abnormal Termination” from being logged when Covenant Eyes is restarted.
  • Fixed the “Do not keep list of usernames used” configuration option, so that it now actually works.

Remember, we’re always working to improve our products, so if you see any kind of issues, or notice bugs, please let us know. Every email you send is personally reviewed and responded to, and a lot of the changes we make are a direct result of customer input.

  1. Does your freeware (e.g. Christian accountability) work with Vista, 64 bit?

just bought a laptop… and at Bible study today I believe our pastor mentioned the words: “accountability and covenant software.”

Either way, I thank you brothers in Christ, for this much needed instrument to hang on the belt of God’s righteousness that we may so choose to be strengthened in the fight for His kind of purity.

thank you. I look forward to your response.

  2. Doug,

Covenant Eyes supports all Windows operating systems, including Vista. However, the Windows Vista Parental Controls conflict with the Covenant Eyes program and must be turned off before installing the Covenant Eyes program.

    Thanks for your question!
