New Goodies for the Member Center
Well, do you know the Member Center? That is the spot that you can click on in the upper right part of your report? Or the one you click on at the top right corner of the Covenant Eyes home page?
Well, it’s got some new features… First off, we fixed the ‘forgot your password link.’ Some of you may recall that when you clicked the link to recover your password, it took you to an article that told you how to recover your password. Its directions? “Click the link on the login page that says to Recover Your Password.”
Sorta a circular loop, eh? Anyway, we’ve fixed that. The link now takes you to a genuine “Recover your password” page, which actually lets you… Recover your password. I know! I know! Groundbreaking. Directions can be found here.
Another thing we’ve done is slightly modified the main page. Instead of one long column of options, we’ve broken it into two. It now is also grouped by what those options are. I’d suggest logging in and getting acquainted with it, since it’s a tiny bit different than the old one.
We’ve also given you guys a choice on what kind of stuff you’d like to be sent in your email. For instance, a month or so ago we sent a poll asking where you’d like to see us head in this coming year. Now people can opt out of being sent that kind of stuff, as well as choose whether they want to receive our newsletter or not. To change these settings, simply log into the member center, and click the “Contact Preferences” link in the first box on the left column. We’ll also be adding a link at the bottom of all further emails which will allow you to opt out of them simply by clicking that link.
We’ve also added some features for our Accountability Partners and Enterprise Administrators who hold a lot of people accountable. We’ve reworked the Account Summary page, so now it lists the rating the Covenant Eyes member received on their last report, the last login date and which Covenant Eyes version they are using. This feature is only available for people holding 5 or more people accountable, or who manage an account of 5 or more usernames.
Of course, new features are all dandy, but we did toss in some bug fixes too. Most notable is the fact that some really unusually formed URLs could not be removed from an override, this is now fixed.
So there you have it. Lots of changes, lots of improvements. Remember, we’re always striving to make it technically easier for you to maintain accountability relationships. If you’ve got suggestions for improvements or found a bug that wasn’t fixed please let us know! You can see the myriad of methods to contact us on our Contact Page.
Until next we meet!
