A brand new national survey of 1188 adults* asked what type of images are always wrong in porn. Among those who actually use porn, nearly half–46%–of adults said that images of “sexual acts that may be forced or painful” are not “wrong.” Among teens and young adults (ages 13 – 25), only 50% say it’s wrong to view those painful images. Now, I realize that “wrong” is a subjective term. I’d like to see the same population asked if it’s “wrong” to view images of little puppies being whipped. It is interesting to find out, however, that when the question … Continue reading →
Ask adult Christians what should be done if their pastor is using pornography, and 41% say, “He/she should be fired or asked to resign.”* Another 29% say the pastor should take a leave of absence until he/she stops using porn. Those over 50 years of age were more adamant about that—47% of age 51-69 and 57% of age 70+ were ready to can the pastor. But only 35% of age 25-30 and 27% of age 31-50 felt that way. Wow–if that were the case, a lot of pastors would be out of a job! More than half (57%) of pastors … Continue reading →

A recent research project by Covenant Eyes has proven what you might suspect: viewing of porn goes way up in the wee hours of the morning. Specifically, for Covenant Eyes users, Highly Mature (HM) sites goes from near 0% visited at 9:00 PM to about 14% between 1:00 AM and 4:00 AM (see chart below). Let me be clear what this means from a data standpoint: This is for Covenant Eyes users specifically. This important to keep in mind because other data we’ve collected suggests Covenant Eyes users are only 1⁄10 as likely to visit pornographic sites compared to the world … Continue reading →
