How long does it take to generate your CE Accountability Report?
These days, the answer is simply “too long!”
Fortunately, most Accountability Partners receive reports in email, so they don’t have to wait for the report to be created.
However, for those who click to the Detailed Logs to investigate activity more carefully, you’re waiting for an average of 27 seconds for the log to load. For those who load Accountability Reports in the Member Center, it takes an average of 36 seconds.
So, how long is acceptable? Well, our customers have been long-suffering on this issue, but based on research from 1968 and 1991 cited by Jakob Nielsen in his “Response Time Overview” article, 10 seconds is how long we have to keep your attention focused on the task at hand.
We’re working on it. Our Reports Team has a goal of having reports load within 10 seconds, 95% of the time. We have a lot going on behind the scenes when we generate a report, so this is an aggressive goal, but we’re confident we can hit it.
We have server upgrades and other technical optimizations to perform before we can reach our 10-second goal, so in the meantime we’re going to focus on some other improvements to Accountability Reports and Detailed Logs.
