Today we’ll be playing our interview with Steve Wright, the author of reThink. He is also the administrator of LastingDivergence, a blog and social network built around encouraging families, parents, and church leadership to disciple the next generation.
Steve will talk about why most program-led, attractional youth ministry models don’t produce lasting disciples. He will also talk directly to parents and church leaders about how a biblical model of youth ministry can provide a healthy context for kids and teens to maintain sexual purity.

Thank goodness, someone finally gets this and is saying something about it. Let’s just pray people listen. I’ve brought this up to so many youth pastors and the common response is, “Well, I have been working with this youth group for x-number of years and we are not going change now. It has worked so far.” I see a problem though when you have been working in a youth group for x-number and it is less effective than when you started.
