Total Remission
My 10th trip to Texas this year, to Houston’s MD Anderson cancer center, was quite a trip. I went down and back in one day, yesterday (9/11). Thanks to Dow Chemical Corporation for providing an angel flight on their corporate jet, because my last several flights have been “free.” I qualify that word because I fully recognize that there is a cost to Dow, and they very graciously bear that cost for cancer patients at MD Anderson. Thanks also to the Corporate Angel Network for arranging this flight – this ministry helps cancer patients find flights to cancer centers.
The departing flight left only a few hours before the surge and winds of hurricane Ike made landfall. As I watch the news today, the eye of hurricane Ike is heading right for the airport!
But the most remarkable thing for me was that I learned, after only 3 months of a very mild chemotherapy (during which I had virtually no side effects), my lymphoma is in total remission.
I was of course rejoicing at the words “total remission.”
And I can only guess how that measure of joy will pale compared to the sound of the voice of God when I stand before Him, and he says that by faith and acknowledgment of Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, there is “total remission” of my sins!
It gives me pause to commit my works this day in obedience to Him, and I pray that I would only increase in my hunger and thirst for righteousness and for His Word!

Hello,
I am a cancer patient stricken with Metastatic ocular melanoma with 8 plus mets to the liver. I am in saginaw MI and hope to find an angel flight with Dow chemical from Midland MI. I have to go to University of Pittsburgh Medical Center for four treatments at the rate of once every three to four weeks. Michigan cannot handle my care. Dr James Pingpank in Pittsburgh is the specialist providing a new treatment where they bathe the liver in a chemo solution. It is my only hope. I am a single mother of two children ages 13 and 9 1/2. I am off work due to cancer and have only a few hundred a month coming in from a short term disability plan. I have already moved out of my condo to rent it to make the payments so I don’t lose it. I have nothing left. Please let me know as I have had no success with contacting corporate angel flight. lynn a moore
Lynn,
I’m a volunteer with Corporate Angel Network. If you’re still looking for help, please give us a call at 877-328-1313 and we’ll try to find you a flight. Dow Chemical is only one of hundreds or corporations we partner with.
Nancy
Lynn,
My apologies. Our number is 866-328-1313. (Not 877 as I posted above).
