Troubleshooting with Zone Alarm

The Covenant Eyes call center has been receiving an unusual number of calls from our members who use Zone Alarm. Several people who have called in have not been able to access the Internet. While this ‘technical snafu’ isn’t caused by the Covenant Eyes software, our Customer Support Representatives have helped many people with the problem.

Zone Alarm has now issued new versions of their firewall software which address the problem. They have a page on their website that details the options available for users.

Another temporary solution is moving the Internet Zone Security permission slider from “high” to “medium.” To do this, double-click on the Zone Alarm icon in the system tray to launch Zone Alarm Control Center. In the left column, click “Firewall.” Then, under Internet Zone Security, change level to “medium.”

As always we appreciate the patience of our members when problems like this arise. Occasionally other software applications come out with updates that conflict with Covenant Eyes or other software programs. If you have any questions:

  • Our call center is open Monday through Friday from 8 AM to Midnight, and Saturday from 10 AM to 6 PM. We are closed on Sunday and major U.S. holidays.
